“Real People, Real Progress” campaign

Varo Bank’s mission is to build financial products for middle class Americans to help them get ahead with their money. With an easy-to-use banking app, early payday, a credit-building credit card, and low-fee cash advances, millions of Varo customers are seeing a real improvement in their money lives. We created “Moments of Progress” to showcase the real impact Varo is making for real people across the country, to highlight how Varo can help you reach your goals and get ahead.

Working with a small budget, we filmed, photographed, and interviewed six customers during a one-day shoot, exploring how Varo products were making an impact on their lives. The interviews were not scripted, to ensure we retained a sense of authenticity with a documentary-style approach.

With the footage we created three :30 TV spots that ran on broadcast and connected TV, as well as four :60 profiles for our Youtube channel and website to tell a richer, deeper story, where they were accompanied by written profiles. We also created over fifteen :15 edits featuring various Varo products to run as paid advertising on Meta and other digital advertising platforms.

Two of three edits that ran on broadcast & connected TV. “Tracey” was the top performer, driving an uptick in organic site visits and customer acquisition.

Long form profiles for Varo’s Youtube channel and website.

We also created over fiften :10 - :15 edits to run as paid digital advertising platforms highlighting core products and value props.

Customers’ success stories were turned into additional content for Varo’s organic social channels as well as email modules driving people to watch the videos and served as “social proof” on Varo’s website, app store profile and future ad campaigns in the form of real customer testimonials.
