Hello, reader of the Internet. I'm Jenne. Yes, “Jenne.” You can pronounce it “Jenny” and it’s fine if you call me “Jen”. It's a long story.

I’m a seasoned creative leader with over 18 years of experience building iconic brands, writing compelling copy, and creating fun campaigns for some of the world’s top consumer and tech companies. I started out at advertising agencies in NYC, Boston, and San Francisco, and, in more recent years, have worked brand-side at tech companies including Varo, Google, and Facebook.

As the creative director at Varo, I lead the vision for the company’s brand, overseeing a team of 7 creatives to make all of Varo’s advertising and marketing assets, ensuring that an inspiring, coherent narrative is woven through each touchpoint.

I love words. I'm one of those “writer's writers” because I genuinely love to sit down and crank out headlines, scripts, or chunks of crafted copy. In more recent years as a creative director, I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to mentor copywriters and help refine, polish, and elevate their words.

I also love great concepts and have always enjoyed collaborating with creatives to generate dozens and dozens of ideas—good ideas, OK ideas, wacky ideas, reasonable ideas, unreasonable ideas so unreasonable they just might be amazing ideas—and giving shape to those ideas with just the right words.

Words are, after all, the building blocks we use to tell stories. And stories are how we capture someone's imagination and inspire them to see the world in an exciting, new way. Because with the right words you can do anything. Start a conversation. Change behavior. Change the world. Or just make someone chuckle while waiting for the bus in the rain.

Throughout my career, I’ve produced work across all mediums from TV, radio, and OOH to digital and interactive at great shops and companies in San Francisco, Boston, and NYC. I’ve collaborated with clients and creatives, CMOs and CPOs. I’ve nurtured talent. Debated strategy. Analyzed and implemented learnings. Advocated for the best work—in the name of hitting business goals. And had a lot of laughs along the way.

I'm based in San Francisco but open to awesome freelance projects anywhere a plane, train or automobile can take me (or Google Meet).
